Updated programming and reporting software

Two features have been added to the latest version of AutoMeasure software, version 13, allowing all operators to extract the best performance from the systems, reducing operational costs and raising productivity.

For a CNC video measuring system to correctly recognize the shape of a target, it’s necessary to have appropriate illumination. In AutoMeasure version 13, the appropriate lighting conditions are automatically set, delivering uniform, stable, repeatable measurement and data acquisition.

The many steps required in preparing a measurement program and the methods an operator can use to create an inspection cycle can create variability, often making it unclear how to proceed. AutoMeasure version 13’s navigation function guides the operator through to completion of the inspection program in an easy-to-understand, interactive process showing the necessary operation at each step, reducing programming time while standardizing and simplifying the operation.

High-speed, ultra-precision spindle with coolant through

Nakanishi’s CTS-3030 spindle with coolant through is designed for extra-length solid carbide drilling, eliminating the need for pecking, enabling greater accuracy, and reducing cycle times. The high-speed, ultra-precision spindle transports coolant through the cutting tool for superior hole quality and increased productivity.

The high-speed spindle offers drilling depths up to 20xD for shank sizes 3.000mm, 3.175mm and 4.000mm, and offers variable speed up to 30,000rpm, allowing for faster cycle times and longer tool life.

The CTS-3030 spindle allows for smaller, more manageable chips for better chip flow, spindle accuracy within 1µm, and eliminates the need for secondary drilling operations.

Tungsten carbide rod blanks

Grade AM110 tungsten carbide rod blanks excel in machining super- alloys such as Inconel. Hyperion’s materials experts specially engineered grade AM110 to optimize the hardness, toughness, and galling resistance required for machining superalloys. Testing at Hyperion demonstrated that end milling tools made with grade AM110 rod blanks performed 35% better on Inconel workpieces compared to conventional tungsten carbide grades.

Grade AM110 carbide rods are available in a variety of dimensions and finishes and as sintered or ground to ISO h5 or h6 tolerances.
