Autoclavable Encoder
The M-Sense12A is the first autoclavable encoder to join Portescap’s product lineup and is an expansion of its surgical solutions capabilities. Optimized specifically for surgical robotic applications, the encoder can survive up to 2,000+ sterilization cycles. It’s compatible with Portescap’s existing portfolio of surgical motors.
The M-Sense12A magnetic encoder provides a resolution range up to 1,024 lines and accuracy up to 1.5°, making it the choice for demanding surgical applications requiring accurate positioning and closed-loop motion feedback. This encoder works accurately, with a maximum input speed of 120kRPM at 1,024 lines/rev in incremental mode. Incremental and absolute feedback options are available.
Whether used in surgical robotics or surgical hand tools, this encoder is a solution for applications demanding feedback systems that can be autoclaved alongside the tool itself.

Self-Aligning Bushings
TOPBALL Ultimate TW-H can carry 4x the load and has 64x the life of conventional slide bushings. With a new optimized load plate, outer cylinder structure, and double the ball circuits of the standard TW type, TOPBALL Ultimate’s load ratings increase by 1.3x and travel life by 2.2x compared to the TW.
NB’s self-aligning linear ball bushing products’ precision tolerances are achieved by grinding, not stamping, the raceways and load plates. Because of their high load capacity, they minimize space requirements.
The NB TOPBALL Ultimate line of slide products are available as total systems or as individual components such as slide bushings, housings, slide shafts and supports. They’re currently available in sizes 12", 16", 20", and 24".

Pleora Technologies’ RapidPIX lossless compression technology increases data throughput by almost 70% while meeting low latency and reliability demands of machine vision and medical imaging applications.
RapidPIX is initially available on Pleora’s iPORT NTx-Mini-LC platform, providing a compression-enabled drop-in upgrade of the NTX-Mini embedded interface. With added compression, designers can deploy the iPORT NTx-Mini-LC to support low latency transmission of GigE Vision compliant packets at more than 1.5Gbps throughput rates over existing 1Gb Ethernet infrastructure. Manufacturers are designing the iPORT NTx-Mini-LC embedded interface with RapidPIX compression into X-ray panels for medical and dental imaging.
Boosting bandwidth performance without a costly infrastructure upgrade, the lossless compression solution also minimizes the data transmitted over the network to reduce power consumption. The mathematically lossless compression technology supports multi-taps and multi-components. Imaging data is fed into the RapidPIX encoder, which analyzes imaging data against compression profiles and selects the best approach based on application requirements. Latency performance is less than two lines, or approximately 0.022 milliseconds, when deployed on a system operating at 1,024 x 1,024 resolution, Mono8 pixel format with two taps, at 40MHz. Latency performance can be further reduced depending on the number of taps and pixel format.
