Kitamura Machinery's Mytrunnion-1, 5-axis Vertical Machining Center is designed for simultaneous 5-axis machining of smaller lot parts. Built on a C-Frame platform whereby the Z-Axis is moved by the headstock and the X & Y Axes are moved by the table, the Mytrunnion-1 incorporates an A-Axis tilting trunnion table (-10 to 100°) and a rotary C-Axis (360°) with a 0.001° minimum indexing command. The trunnion design allows for maximum stiffness and flexibility with the ability to position the work piece closer to the spindle.
Designed for precision machining of small parts, the Mytrunnion- 1 offers a table size of 24.8 in. and table load capacity of 44lbs. A standard, easy to use, 3-jaw chuck can be mounted directly on the table to hold smaller round and/or hex shaped parts, making for quick loading and unloading. The maximum work piece size of 13.8 in. x 8.1 in. allows for flexibility and versatility in machining of small to medium size precision parts. Ultra high precision (positioning accuracy of ±0.000079 in., repeatability of ±0.00004 in.) simultaneous 5-axis capabilities allow for superb surface finishes while saving on labor and tooling costs.
High precision, complex parts can be machined in one operation, reducing the overall machining process. Standard is a #30 taper, 15,000rpm spindle, (30,000 optional) and with a fixed spindle head configuration, the Mytrunnion- 1 allows for more precise cutting capabilities with the ability to take relatively deep cuts. Boxway construction, rapid feed rates of 1969ipm, and standard linear scale feedback provide the high precision necessary for high tolerance work. The Mytrunnion-1 has a standard 60-tool high speed ATC located toward the rear of the machine allowing for the economical machining of more complex parts and, in general, multiple jobs or small short run part lots. The standard Fanuc 300iMA control comes equipped with high speed processing (150m/min feed with 1mm/block, 2,500 blocks/sec), 600 block look ahead and 5-axis control features to aid in the support of usually more complex 5-axis programming.
