KGK INTERNATIONAL, THE NORTH AMERICAN DISTRIBUTOR FOR OKUMA machining and turning centers equipped with FANUC controls, has announced a marketing program focusing on the theme, "American Manufacturing Reborn." According to Mark Davis, Senior Sales Manager for KGK, "Our purpose in selecting this theme is to educate American manufacturers to the fact that, in order to succeed in today's competitive market, it's necessary to think globally in terms of sourcing the best technology.
The "American Manufacturing Reborn" theme is vividly expressed in a series of four graphic images that will be utilized in advertising, trade shows, websites and other media. They are the work of Missouri artist Tom Patrick and reflect the style of the WPA artists of the 1930's.
Davis comments, "It's interesting to note that in the 1930s, as now, American manufacturers were experiencing difficult times. The artists of that period inspired the population by idealizing the image of the American worker and the essential dignity and importance of making and building things. For that reason, we felt it was singularly appropriate for the message we convey."
The graphic series will encompass four separate panels illustrating the automotive industry, aircraft manufacture, farming, earth moving and mining equipment, and the machine shop and factory.
