Integrated Medical Systems Inc. has shipped the first two FDAcleared MedEx 1000 units to the U.S.
Army's Aeromedical Research Lab in order to undergo airworthiness testing, certifying their use for en route care of patients aboard aircraft. MedEx 1000 is a portable unit intended to supply ICU functionality for adult and pediatric patients. MedEx 1000 combines: physiological monitoring, low-rate and high-rate infusion pumps, a fluid warmer, a ventilator with carbon dioxide monitoring capabilities, and more.
