GEORG FISHER ANNOUNCES THAT ALL OF ITS CORPORATE GROUPS, including GF AgieCharmilles, have experienced significant sales growth over the first half of 2007. Recorded sales have increased by 13%, to a total of $1.85 billion yearto- date.
Total sales for GF AgieCharmilles increased by 6%. The corporate group also achieved an EBIT margin of 6.8%, representing an increase from the previous year. Growth was driven primarily by strong demand across Europe and Asia, though the company also experienced higher levels of demand for high-speed and high-performance milling machines in North America.
"The first half of 2007 has been very successful both for AgieCharmilles and our parent company, Georg Fischer," says Glynn Fletcher, president of AgieCharmilles.
