Real-time availability for local cutting tools, items

The IMC Group and MachiningCloud are offering the MATRIX MachiningCloud Connection, to provide real-time local availability of cutting tool items from within the MachiningCloud app.

Customers use MachiningCloud to prepare cutting tool packages and provide the data needed for CAD/CAM programming and machine simulation. Having access to local availability on cutting tool inventory via the Matrix Cloud Connection assures tools are readily available.

“The mission of MachiningCloud is to bridge the gap between cutting tools and software, and streamlining the machining process to save time and increase accuracy,” says Stéphane Julien, cloud evangelist for MachiningCloud. “By joining forces on MachiningCloud, the MATRIX connection ensures greater and more seamless flow of information throughout customers’ shops.” www.machiningcloud.com; www.ctms-imc.com

Manufacturing equipment implementation, validation

Evana Automation Specialists recently launched a validation program to assist healthcare product manufacturers with meeting U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations during the process of implementing automated manufacturing equipment. The Evana Validation Process (EVP) helps healthcare manufacturers avoid costly mistakes that could result in production downtime. It also bridges departmental silos, keeping the entire product management team on the same page.

“Inadequate validations are one of the top reasons healthcare product manufacturers get issued a Form 483,” says Oscar Ford, Evana healthcare business development manager . “Evana goes the extra mile to help healthcare product manufacturers align with FDA regulatory requirements and expedite time-to-market.” www.evanaautomation.com

Epoxy Technology celebrates 50 years

Since 1966, Epoxy Technology’s EPO-TEK products have been routinely specified by design engineers for critical assembly projects in a multitude of industries.

Founded in 1966 by Frank W. Kulesza, the company sought to replace eutectic solder in hybrid microelectronic assemblies with a new approach. With a chemical engineering degree from Northeastern University and practical knowledge and experience at IBM, Kulesza formulated epoxy adhesives that are still in use around the world.

Today, Epoxy Technology’s formulators continue Kulesza’s legacy by providing adhesive products that keep pace with industry’s ever changing needs. www.epotek.com
