Techniks' new Flexible Collet System is designed to handle wide ranges of machining tasks without the need to purchase new tool holders.
The system consists of a machinist choosing the right collet for the job, setting the tool, and tightening the collet nut to the proper torque. The collets are available for drilling, milling, coolant thru, and high-speed applications.
The system consists of a precision ER tool holder that comes with a "Power Coat" highpower nut that, according to Techniks, holds tighter than any other nut. Techniks stocks collets in precision and ultra-precision styles, in sizes from ER8 through ER40. Holders are available for CAT, HSK, BT, and ISO spindle types.
