FANUC has completely redesigned the iD Series wire EDM machines. These new machines deliver superior cutting speeds, accuracy, and surface finishes. Machines feature a beefier, thermally-insulated cast Meehanite base that is 40% more rigid than previous models. Table travels were increased with no load overhang during table movement, providing high rigidity even for heavier workpieces. Heavy-duty 1.26" (32mm) ballscrews for the X and Y axes are double-anchored and encapsulated to prevent contamination. Ballscrews for the U and V axes are Ø 0.79" (20mm).
