
Adapters for the THINBIT MINIBORE, MICROBIT and Mini- GROOVE 'N TURN lines of tooling offer an expanded selection.
The adapters are available with 3/4" and 1" outside diameters and 1/8", 3/16", 1/4", 5/16", 3/8" and 1/2" inner diameters.
THINBIT's GROOVE 'N TURN line of insertable tooling has also been expanded. The new inserts have a 90° included angle for producing chamfers and are available in three grades of material: D2 for steels, D5 for non-ferrous and HSS. TiN, TiCN, TiAlN are available.
THINBIT's selection of internal GROOVE 'N TURN toolholders have increased as well, with the new holder available in 1/2", 5/8", 3/4" and 1" diameters.
The toolholder has a 1.250" minimum bore and holds inserts with cutting depths to 0.500". Toolholders can be used on conventional, Swiss and CNC machines for I.D. threading inserts and grooving inserts in sizes from 0.004" to 0.155".
THINBIT's selection o f 45° GROOVE 'N TURN toolholders are now available in 3/4" and 1" square and are used for making undercuts and thread reliefs at a 45° angle. The 45° GROOVE 'N TURN toolholders can be used on conventional, Swiss and CNC machines for grooving inserts in sizes from 0.004" to 0.155".
Inserts are available in three grades of material: D2 for steels, D5 for nonferrous and HSS. TiN, TiCN, TiAlN.
