Quality Tabletop Measurement System
Design of the BenchMike tabletop system is for fast, accurate, and repeatable measurement of parts. This laser measurement device does not touch the product, eliminating part distortion and operator influence, which can affect measurements. Dimension measurements include diameter, multiple ODs, TIR, taper, and part position. BenchMike is available in four models and provides a measurement range of 0.001000" to 2.000000" with linearity as low as ±0.000020". The Cutting Tool Measurement System (CTMS) is a non-contact system for measuring cutting diameter of fluted cutting tools such as end mills, drill bits, step tools, reamers, and router bits, regardless of the number of flutes. Measuring dimensional characteristics of a cutting tool before it cuts a part eliminates scrap.

Universal Gaging Amplifier
The Accu-Touch readout-gaging amplifier provides visual displays of nearly any shopfloor, or production-based dimensional measurement. Capable of amplifying results from up to four gaging tools, the Accu-Touch uses a 5.7" touch multi-color screen to portray measurement results with selectable resolutions from 0.01000" to as fine as 0.000001". The same hardened touch screen allows the user to adapt the amplifier for different measurement applications using intuitive, interactive prompting. The unit is available in two-, or four-input models from the company’s LVDT pencil probes, lever probes, contact floats, and bore gages. Model variations also include connectivity options with USB and serial ports.

Automatic Form Measuring System

The F435 and F455 automatic form measuring systems automatically measures geometrical tolerances, surface roughness, and straightness in a single setup. Its probe design permits roughness and waviness inspections along with form and position tolerance measurements via adjustment of the rotary control. Designed for workpieces up to 40kg in weight and 430mm in diameter, the systems can measure products such as gear shafts, injection parts, bearing rings, valves, connecting rods, and pistons. Automatic centering and leveling of the workpiece helps deliver exceptional precision over the full measuring distance and compensates for possible inaccuracies caused by wobble. Individually motorized axes for tilting (90°) and rotating (270°) allow the probe to access difficult to reach measuring positions. The probe direction is reversible with variable free-stroke limits in both directions.

Digital Laser Scanner
The LC15Dx digital laser scanner is an alternative to a tactile probe for various precision CMM applications, including molds, small turbine blades, medical devices, and other complex geometry. It achieves a probing accuracy of 2.5µm and a multi-stylus test accuracy of 6µm in tests comparable to EN/10360-2 and -5. A thermal stabilizer inside the scanner body eliminates the uncertainty and delay caused by scanning before it reaches operating temperature. Elimination of probe tip compensation errors is through use of non-contact triangulation between the laser source, workpiece, and CCD sensor to measure the surface of the workpiece directly. The company’s third-generation Enhanced Scanner Performance (ESP3) technology maintains accuracy, speed, and data quality by adapting the laser settings for each measured point in real-time.

CCD Camera
This 5.0 megapixel CCD camera upgrades microscopes with high-resolution imaging in any lighting environment. Capturing sharply detailed color images in low illumination is possible due to long exposure times and Peltier cooling. The cooled CCD camera is suited to clinical, life science, and material science applications involving dark-field imaging, fluorescence, and other challenges. Cooling the Sony 2/3" color sensor lets users capture high quality, noise-free color images at the lowest transmitted light intensity. Cooling the sensor 30°C below ambient temperature creates a high signal/noise ratio in any illumination.

Increased Measurement Throughput
Significant speed enhancements are now available on the X-Y drives on the, small-footprint floor model SmartScope Flash 500 automatic dimensional measurement systems. Flash 500’s new high speed X-Y drives turn in speeds of 406mm/sec (16ft/sec) – roughly double that of previous models. These Flash 500 transport speeds, when coupled with acceleration figures that are also doubled, lead to dramatic improvements in inspection/cycle time on the shop floor or QA lab. Flash 500’s generous 500mm x 450mm x 200mm measurement volume is also available with a volume as large as 500mm x 610mm x 400mm (20" x 24" x 16") to accommodate large parts, fixtures, and rotaries. Like other OGP SmartScope Flash systems, Flash 500 measurement accuracy is assured through uniquely designed-in features.

Probes, Probe Head
The PH20 5-axis trigger probe head increases touch-trigger CMM inspection throughput up to three times using fast, infinite, rotary positioning, and head touch capability for high-speed point capture with minimal CMM movement. Designed for use with the industry-standard TP20 touch-trigger probe, the PH20 head brings 5-axis inspection capability to smaller CMMs by optimizing the working volume of the measurement platform. The RLP40 and OLP40 lathe inspection probes offer a choice of signal transmission technologies – radio or optical – to make part set-up and inspection on turning centers accurate. Measuring 40mm in diameter and 58.3mm long, the probes provide uni-directional repeatability of 1µm. The RMP40 touch probe combines compact size with frequency-hopping spread spectrum (FHSS) radio transmission to bring the advantages of automated job set-up and in-process measurement to machine tools and difficult applications.

Also on display is the Tonic compact optical encoder, the Fastrack linear encoder sale system, and the XL-80 laser calibration system.
