Iscar's new evolution of the HELIMILL line combines the helical cutting edge and positive rake angle design of the HELIMILL with the strong construction of the MILL2000. The HELIDO490 handles heavy 90° milling while the HELIDO845 can be used for 45° milling.
The rectangular H490 ANKX 170608PNTR inserts of the HELIDO490 feature four thick helical right-hand cutting edges. The standard corner radius is 0.031-in. and features a wiper that delivers excellent surface finish. It is the combination of the uniquely designed positive chip deflector with new carbide grades that produces high durability and excellent tool life.
The HELIDO490 tool can machine 90° shoulders up to 0.630-in. depth, plunge up to 0.394-in. side step, and perform slotting and facing operations. The HELIDO845 family of tools is designed for 45° milling. The square S845 SXMU 1606 ADTR-MM inserts of this tool feature eight helical right-hand cutting edges.
HELIDO845 tools are available in a diameter range of 2.0 to 8.0-in. and can machine shoulders up to 0.276-in. in depth.
