DE-STA-CO Robohand's RPLC parallel gripper series is designed specifically for FDA, medical and cleanroom applications. The new series features internal components that are lubricated with a cleanroom grade grease, as well as stainless steel stationary and non-contacting shields that eliminate the possibility of contamination penetrating the patented "Dual-V" roller bearings.
DE-STA-CO Robohand's RPLC series is class 10 cleanroom rated. The external components are made from corrosion resistant materials that maximize performance in de-ionized water for use in FDA and medical parts handling applications. The gripper's internal mechanisms are made from hardened bearing and tool steels, and are protected by a corrosion resistant shield. Additionally, a purge/scavenge port can be used to expel or retain contaminates using vacuum pressure.
RPLC parallel grippers utilize a nonsynchronous motion, allowing independent jaw motion that enables picking and placing at a point other than the gripper's center. This design also implements longer gripper finger lengths when compared to other grippers within the same size and weight ranges.
