3-axis CNC mill
Tormach’s 1500MX is a 3-axis, servo-driven mill on linear rails with an epoxy granite frame. It offers 10x the damping of cast iron for chatter-free cuts, good surface finish, and 30% longer tool life. The 1500MX is thru-spindle coolant (TSC) ready for seamless integration of TSC for enhanced drilling efficiency, smoother finishes, part consistency, and extended tool life.
The mill also features servo motors with absolute encoders that have 23-bit accuracy and battery backup, eliminating the need for machine referencing. Customers can tailor machines to specific needs by adding optional accessories later.
Similar to Tormach’s other machines, the 1500MX operates on the company’s free, open source PathPilot control software. The mill is also optimized to pair with Tormach’s ZA6 industrial robot for light machine automation capabilities.

ERP with order batching feature
Included in existing and new Cetec ERP systems is Order Batching, allowing users to group work orders together as a batch by keying in or scanning an order number.
On the Batch View screen, time can be logged to the batch, then split equally across all associated work orders within the batch. Additionally, the work order location lets users update the production status of the batch, which will automatically update the individual work orders, keeping complete, real-time data on the production floor. Materials can subsequently be issued (or picked) to a batch in proportion to the quantity needed for that material for each batched work order, providing accurate inventory management, and maintaining critical lot traceability.
Critical inspection and inventory traceability data is still managed and stored at the work order level. Batches can be created across sales orders, customers, or within the same project, giving flexibility for production processing and scheduling jobs by like materials or any other desired parameters.
