Kitamura Machinery marks 90th anniversary

Family owned and founded in 1933, Kitamura Machinery has grown from humble beginnings into a global leader in machining center manufacture. During the past nine decades, the company has been able to adapt, evolve, and thrive in a rapidly changing business landscape. To commemorate the occasion, Kitamura Machinery hosted a grand employee celebration at its headquarters in Takaoka, Japan, with live entertainment, historical exhibits, guest speakers, and employee appreciation surprises.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Akihiro Kitamura, Ph.D., Eng., president & CEO of Kitamura Machinery Co. Ltd. said, “Our 90th anniversary is a testament to the hard work, vision, and determination of our founders, employees, partners, and loyal customers. We have achieved this significant milestone by staying true to our values, embracing innovation, and consistently exceeding our customer’s expectations.”

Millstone Medical Outsourcing moves testing services

Millstone Medical Outsourcing will move its testing services division to an expanded 25,000ft2 facility in Bloomfield, Connecticut. The move represents a 400% increase in service capacity and is anticipated to be operational early in Q2 2024.

Millstone launched its testing service offering in December 2022 after the acquisition of contract testing organizations Ethide Laboratories and MycoScience.

Additionally, Millstone is converting its lab services from ISO 13485:2016 to ISO 17025, ensuring the testing methods are recognized, traceable, and meet international standards.

The company plans to introduce new testing services, including manual and automatic reusable instrument cleaning validations and package testing services focused on shipping distribution simulation, as well as new analytic chemical tests such as total organic carbon testing.
