Tapered section retaining ring series
Tapered section retaining rings, also referred to as circlips, are retaining rings with a tapered radial wall. Designed for high thrust loads and heavy-duty applications, tapered section retaining rings are trusted in thousands of applications across many industries as an economical, efficient, and secure method to streamline assembly. Internal and external tapered section retaining rings are in stock from 0.25" to 3" or 3mm to 75mm.
Micropositioning robot
PI added to its family of compact hexapod 6-axis stages based on the Stewart Platform principle with the H-840.G2IHP micropositioning robot, equipped with brushless precision motors. The hexapod micro-robotic stage provides 6 degrees of freedom (DoF), step resolution of 20nm, repeatability to ±0.1µm, 40kg load capacity, and travel ranges to 100mm (linear) and 60° (rotation). Addressing all 6DoF enables this compact micropositioning robot to provide linear motion in X, Y, Z and rotations in Theta-X, Theta-Y, and Theta-Z (pitch, yaw, and roll).
The advantage of the Stewart Platform parallel kinematic design over traditional 5-axis and 6-axis stages is there’s only one moving platform, supported by six closed-loop actuators. This parallel operation also provides identical dynamics for all 6 axes. The design symmetry of the hexapod Stewart Platform also enables a large central aperture and eliminates the need for dragged cables – there are only two stationary external connections for power and data going to the fixed bottom platform.
