GrabCAD Streamline Pro and a new version of GrabCAD Print Pro for PolyJet bring the power of Stratasys’ GrabCAD software to additional customers to increase efficiency and reduce costs through improved workflows.

The first version of GrabCAD Print Pro for FDM and SAF has increased hardware usage among some customers 30% to 50%. Customers can better organize the front and backend of moving and processing parts, giving them more opportunity to scale up their additive manufacturing (AM) capabilities.

They can also accelerate time to market by facilitating rapid design iterations and reducing dependency on physical prototyping; reduce costs by eliminating expensive tooling and molds needed for traditional manufacturing; and geometric complexities not feasible with conventional methods.

“Our software provides essential capabilities for scaling up additive manufacturing workflows,” says Victor Gerdes, vice president, software, Stratasys. “We’re connecting users with a centralized platform, giving them more information to make data-driven decisions and providing them with the precision and detailing that can only come from additive manufacturing.” https://www.stratasys.com

Matching custom parts to mfg. processes

Xometry’s artificial intelligence-powered (AI-powered) Instant Quoting Engine’s process recommender has been updated, expanding coverage of manufacturing processes and improving accuracy.

As CAD files are uploaded to the Xometry marketplace, the process recommender instantly analyzes the geometric features of the file, identifies the most appropriate manufacturing process, and configures the quote. The recommender is also trained to assess a customer’s specific quote and order history, ensuring the best match for the buyer.

“Xometry is continuously deploying new machine learning (ML) models within its AI-powered Instant Quoting Engine for the benefit of buyers and suppliers on our two-sided marketplace,” says Brendan Sterne, chief product officer at Xometry. “Given the expansion of manufacturing processes supported by the Xometry marketplace, the updated process recommender is an important component to make it easier to match customer parts with the right manufacturing process. This helps engineers bring their custom-manufacturing projects to market faster.” https://www.xometry.com
