Desktop SLA 3D printers and resins released Form 4 and Form 4B
Formlabs has introduced its latest desktop SLA 3D printers, Form 4 and Form 4B. Form 4 is up to 5x faster than the company’s previous offering, Form 3+. Most prints can be completed in less than two hours. Form 4 uses Formlabs’ Low Force Display (LFD) print engine, featuring a high-powered backlight, proprietary release texture, Light Processing Unit 4 (LPU 4), and dual-layer resin tank.
“Form 4 marks a significant advancement for the entire 3D printing landscape,” says Max Lobovsky, CEO and co-founder of Formlabs. “We’ve built on the strength and insights gathered from more than 130,000 printers on the market and more than 300 million parts printed to deliver the Form 4, our best SLA printer ever. Its reliability and new level of speed will transform how our customers develop new products.”
Additional features of Form 4 include validated settings, precision heating, force sensing, and debris detection.
Form 4B is a biocompatible variation of Form 4 designed for medical and dental professionals.
Formlabs has released six new resins, including reformulated general purpose resins and specialized offerings such as fast model resin and precision model resin.
