The CSB4000 series of machine vision cameras from Toshiba Teli America Inc, extend the scope of CMOS camera capabilities with four-megapixel, ultra-high resolution, FireWire or Camera Link output, full-frame global shutter, and WOI (window of interest) functionality.
Two models make up the CSB4000 series: the CSB4000CL, a monochrome video camera with Camera Link interface, and the CSB4000F monochrome video camera with IEEE 1394 FireWire output. Both are well suited for high-end machine vision, factory automation, microscopy, and quality control.
Bringing brilliant resolution to high-speed image acquisition, CSB4000 cameras are built around a four-megapixel CMOS sensor (2008H x 2047V) with a 12.048 mm x 12.282 mm image area and 6.0 µm x 6.0 µm pixels. Standard frame rate of 7.4 frame/sec. is significantly increased with the selection of up to 16 arbitrary rectangular windows of interest (WOI), optimizing performance by defining a region of interest of any size within the field of view. This functionality maximizes frame rate while minimizing the data that is transferred across the bus. In addition, the cameras offer subsampling of a WOI to allow faster frame rates at a lower resolution. For example, by omitting every odd pixel and/or line, the frame rate is quadrupled while field-of-view is maintained.
CSB4000 cameras boast a global (synchronous) electronic shutter control that exposes all pixels simultaneously for frame-on-demandacquisition.
Other shared features include high-dynamic range, >50dB signal/ noise ratio, and C-Mount lens mount. Both cameras ship with data cable, tripod mounting kit, and IR cut filter.
