The UNILOCK EDB eroding module enables numerous clamping solutions for the wire EDM machine in combination with universal vise and prism clamping modules. This creates genuine flexibility for the user and the highest precision in machining. The module's repeat accuracy is less than 0.005mm.
This module is equipped with an interface, which is open on both sides and is suitable for 5-sided machining. Being combined in an adjacent arrangement allows a minimum bore hole gauge of 100mm. Centering is done via a short taper. Two clamping slides provide a self-locking, form-fit positive locking of the clamping pin. During the mechanical locking operation, compressed air can assist actuating the piston base for a "turbo effect," which considerably increases the pull-down force.
The uniform clamping pin is a standard for other SCHUNK UNILOCK modules, and it enables a quick tool change in the production process. Fixing, positioning and clamping are managed in one operation. SCHUNK UNILOCK reduces the set-up time by up to 90%.
