Bridgeport will be introducing the all-new GX 1000 B boxway machining center, distinguished by a 24 in. Y-axis travel, as well as standard specifications and performance capabilities. The GX 1000 B VMC includes features such as 40 x 24 in. x 22 in. travel, 17.3 spindle horsepower, a 2-speed gearbox, 20 tool ATC, and Fanuc control. Bridgeport says that the new boxway machine offers excellent rigidity for heavy machining operations and high metal removal rates. The new VMC also dampens vibration at the cut, offering high quality surface finishes and longer tool life.
