LENOX's ARMOR Rx+ is a bi-metal band saw blade featuring a unique, patented tooth form, AlTiN (Aluminum, Titanium and Nitride) coated edge, and high performance backing steel that can deliver increased durability when compared with standard bi-metal blades. ARMOR Rx+ cuts through structurals, tubing, and small rounds of mild carbon steels and tool steels with minimal vibration and noise for a straighter, more accurate cut.
The ARMOR Rx+ blades feature an advanced tooth design that provides a wider cross section. The increased surface area offers a reinforced cutting surface, one that eliminates tooth strippage and prevents premature failure. This patented design also helps to reduce burring and removes chips quickly.
The LENOX proprietary coating process binds the coating to the blade, protecting the cutting edges. This coating acts as a defense mechanism against heat build-up and provides a hardness value to the edge of the blade while also protecting the teeth from wear. When combined with the patented tooth design, the AlTiN coating gives users higher blade performance and extended life.
