The U.S. divisions of Mikron, Charmilles and Agie have joined together as Agie Charmilles Corp.The three North American subsidiaries will retain their individual identities and sales channels.
Previsously president of Charmilles US and Mikron US, Harry Moser, has become president of the new entity. "My number one priority," he says, "is the sustained value to our North American customers. Under this reorganization, we will be able to offer the highest levels of quality and value to both the EDM and HSM markets."
The former president of Agie US, Glynn Fletcher, is now the executive vice president of Agie Charmilles. In the past two years in which he headed Agie US, the company experienced a 45% growth in sales. Fletcher's focus in the new organization will be on minimizing costs and prices within the customer support area.
Agie Charmilles received the Frost & Sullivan "Customer Value Leadership Award 2005." Recognition was given to the company's integration of EDM, high speed milling and automation solutions under one roof.
Frost & Sullivan noted that Agie Charmilles' combination of superior technologies with outstanding customer service helped clients increase their efficiency while improving the quality of their end products.
