Five additional organizations join AMGTA
The Additive Manufacturer Green Trade Association (AMGTA), a global trade organization promoting the environmental benefits of additive manufacturing (AM), welcomes five new members, bringing its active membership to 40.
Joining the AMGTA as a new Founding Member is Höganäs, a world leader in metal powder printing solutions with production alloys catering to many different printing technologies. Höganäs will serve alongside existing Founding Members Desktop Metal; Divergent Technologies; QC Laboratories; Sintavia; Stratasys; and Taiyo Nippon Sanso Corp. The Founding Members determine the strategic direction of the AMGTA, provide governance oversight, and consider future research projects that members may vote to commission.
Joining the AMGTA as new Participating Members are: Arkema; Flam3D; Massivit 3D; and the UK National Centre for Additive Manufacturing (NCAM), based at the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) in Coventry.
“I’m delighted to officially welcome aboard Höganäs… as well as each of our new Participating Member organizations,” says Sherry Handel, executive director of the AMGTA. “Our esteemed global trade consortium supports our mission and provides a solid foundation as we continue to grow and strategically invest in environmental sustainability research projects in additive manufacturing.”

Oxford Performance Materials (OPM) is partnering with VySpine LLC to develop a spinal implant product line using OPM’s patented OsteoFab PEKK technology.
The agreement enables VySpine to develop new interbody devices and other spinal implants featuring OPM’s proprietary 3D printing intellectual property (IP), delivering proven clinical benefits to the surgeon unique to the OsteoFab technology: bone-like mechanics, bone ongrowth, radiolucency, and antibacterial + antiviral properties, all produced with OPM’s (metal and metallosis-free) OXPEKK material formulation. VySpine will be the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the new spinal fusion product line manufactured exclusively by OPM.
